James C. “Jay” Barnett began his career on the Alabama and Mississippi Gulf Coasts as an industrial forester and later served as Chief Forester for a major financial firm.
In 1987, Jay and his brother Mark Barnett founded a full service forest management company serving domestic and foreign landowners across the South.
Jay has a degree in Forest Management from Iowa State University. He is a licensed real estate broker, a Georgia Registered Forester (#1634), and is a member of the Georgia Forestry Association, the Society of American Foresters, the Forest Landowner’s Association, and the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors.
Jay and Judy Barnett live in Sandy Springs, GA. They have two grown children.
